It’s one of my favourite parts of this job.

Couple sessions are one of those things that people either can’t wait for or they will spend three weeks convincing themselves they “aren’t photogenic enough” to do. (You are. I promise. Everyone says that and no one has ever been right.)

Whether you’ve been together six months or six years, there’s something quietly electric about carving out a few hours to just be with each other. No agenda, no guests, no one watching the clock. Just you two, some good light and me telling you to walk slower than feels normal.

Vancouver Is Basically Made for This

From the seawall to the North Shore mountains, this city hands us magic on a regular basis. I work throughout the Greater Vancouver area: North Vancouver, West Vancouver, Stanley Park, Jericho Beach, Gastown, Lynn Valley, Lighthouse Park and I genuinely love helping couples find a spot that actually means something to them rather than just “looks nice on Instagram” though honestly, it’ll probably do both.

What to Expect

We’ll spend one or two hours together and I’ll spend exactly zero of those minutes asking you to pose stiffly, fake smile and stare at the camera. What I will do is give you little prompts and movements that get you laughing, talking and forgetting I’m even there which is precisely when the good stuff happens.

Most couples tell me afterward it was much more fun than they expected. Many tell me it was their favourite date together in recent memory. Both outcomes are a win in my books.
